22 Goals For My 22nd Year
I’m getting old. Okay, maybe 22 isn’t that bad. My birthday came up extremely quick this year and I think I’m running around like a chicken with my head cut off. What are 22 year olds supposed to do in society? Start a big girl job? Buy an apartment? Get a cat?
Weebie jeebies. No thanks, maybe when I’m 30. For now I am just going to continue wandering, storytelling and sleeping in tents and cars. I’m still banking on living with no plans and pretending I don’t know what investments and retirement funds are. Although I am graduating college when I’m 22, so I’ve got that.
I got thinking today and wrote down a list of 22 goals for myself while I’m 22 and I’d like to share them with you.
- Expand my taste buds
- Cook a nice meal without anything catching fire
- Challenge myself culturally
- Graduate college
- Meet more readers
- Visit the Pacific Northwest
- Improve my night photography
- Read more books
- Relearn French
- Continue to grow my website
- Stop drinking so much coffee
- Get over my fear of ticks
- Not break my phone
- FINALLY start a monthly newsletter
- Spend more holidays with family
- Go in a hot air balloon
- Find unique camping locations
- Improve at rock climbing
- Dance as often as possible
- Get better at recycling
- Learn to open up
- Eat as much chocolate as possible
And with that I am off to celebrate. A night of dancing, laughing and camping is in my birthday future. I hope you all have a fantastic Memorial Day weekend! Traveling anywhere?
Tomorrow morning I take off on an adventure for 9 days…the mountains are calling! Stay tuned :).
Shalee, love your blog! I am heading to Glacier National Park in Montana and then traveling north to Waterton and Banff. Any “don’t miss this” suggestions for me?
Lorri,
Thank you so much! You are actually exploring an area that I have never been, I wish I would more to give you than what I have read and heard from other travelers. When are you heading that way? I can gather some of my favorite blogger links about the area and send them over!
I did a similar list for my birthday! Although, I definitely wish I were the same age as you 😛
PS #12 – eff no. I freaked out a couple weeks ago when I was Up North & found FOUR ticks on me within 40 minutes OMFGGG UGHH
Oh and #9 – I can help with this! My new company is a language learning software and I could probably get you a ‘friend’ account fo’ free! 😉
