8 EPIC WINTER ACTIVITES IN MICHIGAN
If I've learned anything when blogging about Michigan, it's that people LOVE lists. I'm totally okay with that because I love them too! We're all at the point where winter is starting to get on our nerves. No, car, I don't want to scrape you off again at 7:30am. WHY IS THE WIND SO COLD. Icicles...my eyebrows are icicles. You get the point.
So here is just a short and sweet inspiration list to make sure you make the most of your winter before it's gone. Winter can be fun guys, I promise!!
1) Go Dog Sledding
Are we in Alaska? NOPE! This activity can be done both in the lower and upper peninsula and not many other places offer such a unique and exciting experience. I've never done it either, but hopefully that will be changing by the end of the winter! Eep!
2) Visit the Eden/ Grand Island Ice Caves
Epic-ness. That is all.
3) Group Cabin Rental
Grab a group of friends and take off to a cabin up north to enjoy some snowboarding, skiing, snowmobiling or ice fishing; where the days are packed with adventure and the nights are packed with memories.
4) Muskegon Winter Sports Complex
One of the only luge tracks open to the public in America? YES PLEASE.
5) Take the 'Polar Plunge' for Charity
The water may feel like needles in your skin, but it's an adventure for a good cause. Those are the best kind.
6) Snowshoe Traverse City
Who doesn't love Traverse City or a nice winter hike?
7) See an Ice-covered Lighthouse
So far I think everyone has been pretty impressed with the South Haven one this year.
8) Attend the Munising Ice Festival
February 5th-8th. Even if you don't climb you can simply attend to watch others and enjoy the festival.
