As many of you know, I am in love with northern Michigan. It’s the place that inspired me to start a blog and begin this crazy journey. A little over two years later, I’ve just celebrated my MILLIONTH view.
MILLIONTH. 999,000 more than what I ever expected. So yeah, that’s kind of awesome.
For my big milestone, I’m hosting an incredible giveaway with M22, Benjamin Twiggs, and the Cherry Tree Inn & Suites. All Traverse City brands who want to help you escape reality on a relaxing and adventurous trip to the Cherry Capital.

I love the diverse selection of breweries, cideries, wineries, and distilleries.
I love the smell of the clean air, tinged with pine needles!
I love the laid back lifestyle up north. Everyone is always happy and easy going and nothing is more relaxing than that 🙂
My favorite thing about northern Michigan is the snow! It’s a beautiful winter wonderland and what dreams are made of.
My favorite thing about Up North is getting away from my regular routine.
My absolute favorite thing about being up north is the scenery and the quaint towns. I love being able to wake up and walk down the street to get coffee in the morning and then finish the day with kayaking or hiking.
By far, the best things about Up North are the phenomenal state parks, particularly Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. I will never forget my first time visiting; we went on the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive and when I climbed up the hill to the Lake Michigan Overlook stop my breath was taken away. I never realized just how beautiful our incredible mitten state could be until that moment. Now when I hear about anybody going Up North, I highly recommend them to visit Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, as it is so close to Traverse City and other popular Up North attractions (not to mention, it is, for the most part, handicap accessible for those unable to climb the miles of sand dunes). Our state is so incredibly beautiful, unfortunately many have yet to see just how beautiful.
I have never been! It would be a fantastic vacation!
MY favorite thing? Easy. Memories of living the first 18 years of my life there and my family that still live there…
I love spending time on the beautiful lakes up north!
