As many of you know, I am in love with northern Michigan. It’s the place that inspired me to start a blog and begin this crazy journey. A little over two years later, I’ve just celebrated my MILLIONTH view.

What’s the prize?
When life gives you lemons, you run up north. The winner will receive a two-night stay at the beachfront hotel Cherry Tree Inn & Suites, a welcome gift basket provided by Benjamin Twiggs, and some rad M22 gear to wear along the lakeshore. I love the piece and quiet and how different it is Up North than the lower part of Michigan.
My favorite thing about up north is the strong sense of community. When someone is in need everyone helps. I’ve never had that anywhere else and can’t imagine a better place to live.
My favorite thing is seeing a different part of Michigan. I wasn’t raised her, but adopted it as my home state 10 years ago, and I have a lot of Michigan left to discover!

My favorite thing about up north is the friendliness you experience, there is so much to explore from sleeping bear dunes to the lighthouses to the small stores in town. I go up at least once a year and do something new. This year was the dune climb
